An outstanding tier-1 automotive supplier has an immediate need for an Advanced Engineering Manager. In this position, you will direct all new model engineering and operations functions as they pertain to coordination, testing, quality, die development, equipment, manufacturing cell development and installation. The AE Manager will oversee a department of up to 25 people with 4 direct reports.

Core Responsibilities:
Directly manage the overall New Model & Advanced Engineering operations including a staff of up to 25 engineering and technical employees
Will coordinate plant activities through the planning with department managers to ensure total manufacturing objectives are achieved in a timely and cost-effective manner
Develop and control business plans and the budget
Evaluate capabilities and the performance of all technical personnel develop action plans to drive improvement / training
Control and minimize labor overtime and repair expenses
Participate in the annual business planning process
Monitor overall plant performance for production and quality standards
Partner with Product Engineering on all new model launches to ensure equipment is ready for mass production
Any additional projects as required
Essential Requirements:
BS degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering
At least 10 years of experience leading technical functions in an automotive high-volume metal forming operation
Commitment to safety and the wellbeing of all employees
Strong proficiency in all Microsoft Office products along with Project Management skills
Ability to communicate well, both written and verbally, along with exceptional problem-solving skills
Can manage in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities with a strong attention to detail
Dynamic personality that is not afraid to challenge others in a professional manner
