Battery Sales Development Manager

 

Position Overview:

 

Our client is looking for a dynamic Battery Sales Development Manager to join their team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and executing sales plans to generate new leads and opportunities for the fast-developing market. You will also work closely with marketing and technical teams to refine value propositions and develop go-to-market strategies.

 

Location: Houston, Texas or Remote Opportunity

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the execution of sales plans to convert sales leads and opportunities into repeatable revenue stream.
  • Actively manage the New Business Opportunity Pipeline to track progress of opportunities through the pipeline.
  • Conduct KPI reporting to extract key insights for development of future promotions and strategies.
  • Develop and implement cost to serve plans for each assigned customer while building strong customer connections.
  • Perform account management responsibilities for assigned sales territories and maintain profitable sales.
  • Work cross-functionally with team members in customer service, sales, supply chain, product management, research and development, strategic marketing, finance, and technical service.

Travel can be up to 50%, at times.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or Science discipline with minimum of 5+ years of experience in the battery industry.
  • Strong sales skills with experience selling raw materials, preferably with CNTs or Carbon Black.
  • Proven experience in value selling or business development.
  • Results-driven business development / sales approach with ability to think outside of the box.

Preferred Skills:

  • Knowledge and experience with SAP C4C CRM.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication.
  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills.
  • Ability to develop customer relationships, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to function with a high level of autonomy and as a self-starter.
