As they enter this exciting phase of growth, they’re looking for a dedicated and experienced Controller to join their finance team and play a key role in their ongoing success.

 

Position Overview:

 

A highly skilled and motivated Controller is needed to oversee all financial aspects of their organization. The Controller will be responsible for managing the company’s financial activities, including budgeting, financial reporting, forecasting, and strategic financial planning. This is a pivotal role that will require exceptional leadership and financial acumen to ensure the company’s financial health and growth.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Planning and Analysis: Develop and execute comprehensive financial plans, budgets, and forecasts. Provide analysis and insights to support decision-making and strategic planning.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements. Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
  • Cost Management: Monitor and analyze costs, identifying opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency improvements. Implement strategies to optimize cost structures.
  • Cash Management: Manage cash flow, oversee banking relationships, and optimize working capital to support business operations.
  • Financial Compliance: Ensure compliance with all financial regulations, tax laws, and reporting requirements. Manage audits and coordinate with external auditors.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a small team of accounting professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, growth, and excellence.
  • Strategic Initiatives: Collaborate with senior management to develop and execute financial strategies that align with the company’s growth objectives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; CPA or CMA certification a plus.
  • 15 years of progressive experience in accounting & finance roles, with 5 years in a leadership capacity.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
  • Proficiency in financial analysis & modeling and managing budgets.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to lead by example as a “hands-on” manager.
  • Prior experience in the manufacturing or service industry.
  • Strong computer skills and can work with & interpret data to drive financial decisions.
