Director of Finance

World Class Automotive Manufacturer

 

An innovative, technology driven automotive supplier has an immediate need for a Director of Finance. This position will manage the strategic planning and direction for their Accounting & Finance organization, including financial reporting, budgeting, costing, financial analysis, taxation, and treasury functions. 

 

Additionally, the Director of Finance will lead a team of professionals that can be managed remotely. Due to the growth the company is experiencing, they really need a Finance Leader that has a “Roll their sleeves up & get it done” mentality! 

 

This industry leader is absolutely booming with business and dominates their market!

 

Responsibilities include:

 

Provide effective supervision of the Accounting & Finance department, providing personal direction, support, motivation and development of department personnel

 

Provide strategic and operational support and advise on business planning, analysis, improvement, and compliance

 

Strategic approach but hands-on and gets into the details, set priorities

 

All financial reporting functions in accordance with GAAP

 

Will provide a detailed financial analysis of operating results and report performance to Corporate Leadership

 

Develop both long and short term goals and objectives

 

Focus on taxation and be a resource for tax questions/issues

 

Facilitate timely internal & external reporting as required

 

Maintain necessary cash flow while managing company debt

 

Support business growth across North America

 

Requirements:

 

BS in Accounting or Finance with a preference for an MBA and / or CPA, CMA

 

At least 20 years of progressive experience in finance including 5 years of senior finance management experience in a global manufacturing organization

 

In-depth knowledge of financial benchmarking, accounting, budgeting, planning, analysis, audit & tax compliance, and other regulatory matters

 

Has led Finance for a company or a large division

 

Strong business acumen along with exemplary communication at all levels, written and verbal

 

Strongly prefer prior automotive industry experience

 

SAP experience along with the Microsoft Office Suite

 

Working knowledge of tax laws and external reporting

 

Must have a results-oriented leadership style with strong influencing skills
