This organization is a supplier to the heavy vehicle & specialty vehicle industry with an immediate need for a Director of Human Resources. In this position, you will lead all HR functions for 3 regional, non-union manufacturing locations along with a corporate headquarters.
Additionally, you will impact the company’s future by directing all areas of Human Resources across the company and will be a true Business Partner for the VP of Operations. This position is based at one of the manufacturing plants with frequent travel to the other locations, all of which are within a 90 minute drive of each other.

Responsibilities:
Lead all areas of Human Resources for 3 non-union manufacturing locations and a corporate headquarters with a total employee count of 550+
Development and training of HR staff with up to 8 direct reports
Develop a leadership pipeline that improves the depth of talent across the company and meets the needs of accelerating organizational growth
Establish a standardized recruiting function for salaried and hourly employees across multiple manufacturing locations as well as the company’s headquarters
Maintain a union-free workforce through direct communication with all employees
Is a strategic business partner to the senior leadership team, providing HR strategy solutions to accommodate the company’s growth
Tactical, day-to-day HR responsibility for manufacturing
Partner with company leaders and business partners across the organization to identify and coordinate specific talent needs, design solutions, and acceptance of strategies to determine effectiveness in driving business performance and increasing talent readiness across the company
Collaborates across the organization by sharing relevant data and insights around performance, promotability, and readiness to support business talent decisions
Education and Work Experience:
BS degree in Human Resources or related, MBA or MS degree preferred
10+ years’ experience in Human Resources within a manufacturing environment
Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience leading Human Resources across multiple locations and has experience as a top HR Leader for a company
Has led HR in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
Has a true, HR Generalist background (benefits & compensation, employee relations, union avoidance, training & organizational development, staffing & recruiting, etc…)
Knowledge of contemporary Human Resource structure, processes, and technologies along with understanding business functions from a “Big Picture” perspective
Succession planning experience with workforce planning/headcount tracking
Strong business acumen both tactical and strategic
Excellent communication both written & verbal at all levels within an organization
Has partnered with operations as an HR Business Partner
Proficiency in all Microsoft Office products
Able to travel as needed to company manufacturing locations
