Master Planner
An industry leading chemical manufacturer has an immediate opening for a Master Planner. Based at the company’s headquarters, the Master Planner is responsible for the short-term supply plan and order fulfillment process for assigned product families. Also, managing the correct balance of supply and demand, and working closely with production schedulers at designated manufacturing plants by assigning priorities and responding to production, raw material, and packaging constraints.
Open due to an internal promotion, the Master Planner is a crucial part of the company’s Supply Chain Team and serves as a subject matter expert providing tactical guidance and strategic input for the entire division.

Primary Responsibilities:
Work daily in SAP to ensure system production schedules, demand signals, and inventory levels remain as accurate as possible
Review the forecast uploaded into SAP for accuracy
Monitor the demand signal within SAP that drives production and the supply plan
Review and approve the production schedule with production schedulers, providing guidance and direction for in-period adjustments to the production schedule
Monitor product family inventories against established targets
Provide feedback to S&OP Managers for future target revisions
Monitor product level inventories for obsolete, expiring, and excess stock
Periodically review and update SAP settings and associated work processes to continually improve performance
Requirements:
A BS degree in Business, Supply Chain or Logistics
A minimum of 5 years of Master Planner experience
Preferred APICS CPIM or CSCP certification
Proven SAP experience along with proficiency in Microsoft Office software applications
Operational experience in Supply Chain management
Prior experience in Demand Planning, Production Scheduling, Capacity Planning, Order Fulfillment, and Inventory Management
Prior experience working in chemical manufacturing preferred
Must understand the concepts for planning & controlling the flow of products and services into, though, and out of an organization, from suppliers, the supply chain organization, and manufacturing to customers
Execution-oriented with strong problem solving skills
