Process Engineer
PROCESS ENGINEER
An innovative, leading manufacturer of industrial, electro-mechanical products has an immediate need for a Process Engineer. In this position, you will develop and maintain measurement expertise across multiple metering technologies and applications within the Petroleum Industry. This is a unique opportunity for a Process Engineer that wants to be multi-dimensional and have exposure to a lot of different pieces of the engineering pie.
This job includes exceptional on-the-job training and offers additional responsibilities as you get up to speed. It’s open due to the previous person being promoted.

Responsibilities include:
Developing an understanding of uncertainty and statistical analysis per API regarding measurement equipment/systems
Work with the Flow Research and Test Center to provide support to keep and continuously improve on their ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation
Design and Qualify measurement equipment & process in accordance with ISO/IEC 17025, the Guide to Uncertainty of Measurement and relevant NIST Handbooks
Perform management of change related to equipment and process updates
Participate in industry committees and measurement events
Writing of technical papers to support measurement topics within the industry
Develop and apply best measurement practices knowledge to capital improvements of production and Flow Research and Test center
Assist in troubleshooting first pass yield issues
Interface with Engineers providing guidance with weights and measures requirements for new designs, or modifications of existing measurement equipment, including the various metering technologies and electronic products.
Renew, update, acquire weights and measures approvals for Western Hemisphere
Requirements:
Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology or Software Engineering
3 years of Engineering experience in manufacturing
Have an engineering mindset, is on the factory floor, “hands-on” approach
Knowledge of hydraulics & fluid dynamics
Basic knowledge in CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics)
Strong problem-solving mindset & ability
Able to learn and perform statistical and uncertainty calculations in accordance with API standards
Is able to learn Temperature & Pressure measurement and equipment calibration
Presentation skills along with good written & oral communication
Strong Word & Excel skills, analytical and logical reasoning
