Position Overview:
They’re seeking a Senior Stamping Manager to oversee and lead all metal stamping, hydroforming, and die maintenance operations. The role will support approximately 100 non-union employees across three shifts and will report directly to the Plant Manager. The Senior Stamping Manager will play a critical role in driving operational efficiency, maintaining high safety and quality standards, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
· Lead and manage all aspects of the metal stamping and hydroforming operations, including die maintenance and repair, across 3 shifts.
· Supervise, coach, and develop a team of approximately 100 non-union & salaried employees, ensuring a productive and motivated workforce.
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, quality, and maintenance, to ensure the seamless operation of stamping and hydroforming equipment.
· Ensure production targets are met while maintaining high safety and quality standards.
· Implement continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency, reduce downtime, and enhance overall production performance.
· Manage and optimize resources, including manpower, equipment, and materials, to meet production demands.
· Develop and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to track operational efficiency, safety, and quality metrics.
· Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance programs to minimize downtime and ensure the reliability of equipment.
· Lead problem-solving efforts and root cause analysis for production issues, driving long-term corrective actions.
· Ensure compliance with safety regulations, environmental standards, and company policies.
Required Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field is strongly preferred.
· 10+ years of leadership experience in a high-volume metal stamping operation, within the automotive industry.
· Proven ability to manage large teams and production areas, including experience with hydroforming and die maintenance.
· Strong knowledge of metal stamping processes, press operation, and die maintenance techniques.
· Excellent leadership, communication, and team-building skills with a hands-on approach.
· Experience in implementing Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement practices.
· Solid understanding of safety regulations and quality standards in an automotive manufacturing environment.
· Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
